16th November 2025 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: N Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Mainly cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: 2.62 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Sunday 16th November - walk ** – Around Felixstowe – mainly cloudy. Woke to more gloom and drizzle but Mag managed her early morning walk, I stayed in bed with no plans today Mag did some baking while I did my exercises. After lunch of some freshly baked rolls we set off on an afternoon stroll, with the wind in the north it was a tad on the chilly side, the shorts will have to go:( We headed up the town to see the new Felixstowe Christmas tree and a good one it is too, the lights are not being switched on until the 29th! Then down to the beach, coming out near the Fludyers hotel we walked back along the prom with some nice streaks of sunlight towards the dock and it was fairly busy too! We did a circuit of the pier watching some cool waves rolling in and a lone paddler out on a surf canoe making the most of the last of the daylight before heading for home for a welcome hot water bottle, cuppa and yummy homemade jam puff pastry! With Maeva feeling slightly better I think we will get to see her tomorrow and a good day for darts as the two Lukes reach the final of the latest big competition! Photo Album here |
